We have just been testing using Outlook public folders with our BlackBerry phones. 

A public folder is a way of having a centrally managed set of contacts that can be viewed company wide.
By linking to the BlackBerry it gives you a way of viewing the public folder instead / as well as your own contacts on the BlackBerry.

 We actually have two folders, one for clients and one for suppliers.  This makes it easier to search and edit , however the practice means that you could limit which contacts are sent to BlackBerries!

RIM’s (BlackBerry creators) say that they will introduce public email and calendar synchronisation soon. That will mean that your public folders with emails from clients / projects could be visible!

Andisa are now based at Harrogate Business Centre, Hookstone Avenue, Harrogate, HG2 8ER. The new office means that we have more space and also a reception service.

Weve found that little things matter, having a window in every room, plenty of storage and always having someone answer the phone. The new office will mean that we can expand and now feel proud to welcome clients at our office.

Andy has been recruited by Harrogate Brigantes (The evening Rotary Club of Harrogate) to help with a project in Nepal.

The aim of the trip is to deliver 10 laptops to two schools, set up two IT suites and then train the teaching staff to teach IT as part of the curriculum. We are providing a number of laptops and a server at each school.

There are numerous problems to overcome, from only having power for 30% of the day through to transport and customs when carrying large numbers of computers.

The team will travel to Nepal in February 2011, spending 3 weeks with Nepalese families.

So far we have raised over £10,000
